As we come to the close of another difficult year for everyone, it seems quite apt that we said back in June, things can change in the blink of an eye. Here we are again with the air of uncertainty hanging over the whole country. Will people be able to see families at Christmas? Is there more disruption ahead in the New Year? Is another lockdown possible? There are still certain sectors that are being hit hard due to the pandemic, and our hearts go out to those people who are fighting every day to get to the other side. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers, our colleagues, and our friends, and wish them all the best for Christmas, the New Year and whatever 2022 throws at us all.
Here at TMS we have had an amazing year. We expected to see the last quarter of the year slow down to some degree, but it has gone the other way. The year has finished with an order book that takes us well into 2022, and well above expectations. The unprecedented growth has continued and doesn’t look like slowing down any time soon. Next year will also see the drive to upgrade all our existing customers, who are on an older version of Contract Costing, to the latest release. Customers should have already received an email detailing this.
We’d like to welcome Roland Hill Ltd, Kurt Hobbs Coachworks Ltd, Ttag Brickwork & Scaffolding Ltd, Luce Bay Plant Hire Ltd, Premier Roadmarkings Ltd and Tyneside Group Ltd to the TMS family.
In the New Year, look out for a case study with Roland Hill Ltd, on why they moved from Redsky, a company they had been with for decades. The product that they were using, Summit, described as state of the art and modern, was anything but. With control accounts that never balanced, ‘ghost entries’ that appeared on ledgers, one sided entries etc, the figures that the system was reporting just couldn’t be trusted or believed. Well worth a read for those people paying a premium for older systems.
